Mard ko dard hoga. In a small sleepy town in Northern India, there are deserted streets with an eerie atmosphere punctuated by the occasional howl of stray dogs in the distance. Along the rows of houses of people who are sound asleep inside, there are inscriptions in red ink written on their compound walls—O stree, kal aana (O woman, come tomorrow). In this town, it’s the time of the annual puja (festivities) for the local goddess, which lasts four nights. It is also these four nights when men are not safe after nightfall. There are fables of a strange woman who abducts men, leaving only their clothes behind. Nobody knows any facts, but the fear is palpable. Everybody diligently makes sure the inscription is written on their walls, and men try and stay indoors at night.
Popular tailor of the town Vicky and his two friends, Bittu and Jana, live a rather mundane life. When Vicky meets beautiful Gaytri things start getting interesting. Bittu and Jana cannot understand why someone like Gayatri would fall for Vicky. When Gayatri has some rather strange requests, they soon realise there’s something very off about this girl!
