Visual Acoustics: The Modernism of Julius Schulman

This film elegantly traces the photographer Julius Schulman’s path though photography and architecture while also reviewing the man’s love affair with Modernism. Beautifully shot, the film takes us back to many of the modernist houses and buildings that Shulman helped to make famous, and recreates the scenes captured in his photographs. Shulman himself is part of this nostalgic journey and so we gain a new depth of field in photography as well as architecture.
